09. How to Hinge Fix and Change Door Adjustments For a Flat Pack Wardrobe

Layout a left and right hand end panel on the carton in front of you ensuring that the bottom edge of each panel is closest to you. Identify the front edge of the panel and place these to face each other.
The hinge plate comes with pre-fitted screws. Identify the front of the hinge plate as shown. The front of the plate needs to be orientated towards the front edge of the panel.

Place the hinge plate over the appropriate holes and fix the plate to panel.

Take the remaining hinge plates and repeat the process ensuring that the plates are flush to the surface of the end panel.
Lay doors on carton in front of you.

Insert the hinge into the specified hole. Ensure the ‘arm’ remains at 90° to the edge of the door.
Fix the hinge to the door using the marker holes to position both screws.

Repeat the process for the remaining hinges on all doors.
Slide the top hinge into the plate ensuring that the arm engages on the hinge plate. Fully tighten the specified screw as shown.
Fix the bottom hinge and then the remaining hinge. Repeat the process for the other door.

Once you positioned the wardrobe in its final position, check it is level with the spirit level as shown. When the wardrobe is level you can adjust the doors if necessary. The hinge plates allow the following adjustment.
The screw at the back of the plate allows the door to move in and out from the wardrobe. after making the adjustments always ensure the screw is tightly secured.

The two screws at the top and bottom of the plate allows the door to move up and down. After making adjustments always ensure these screws are tightly secured.
The screw in the hinge arm allows the door to move side to side.
