MMI are part of the Schieder furniture group and are based in Poland. They supply some of the leading retailers in the UK with large quantities of flatpacked furniture.

Up until 2001, MMI were attempting to service their customers spare parts requirements from their factories in Poland. Customers were being quoted a 28 day leadtime for spare parts and even this promise was often not being met. Their returns were running at approximately 5-6% of sales.

As their UK transport and warehousing provider we felt that we could help them by warehousing spares and despatching them from the UK.

Initially full product was shipped to us which we stripped down and despatched as components.

Overtime, the business grew and we were able to establish processes for the ordering of spares as components and develop advanced IT systems for the management of the spares stock, picking & packing and assembly advice etc.

Click Spares now supports over 450 products for MMI from a wall mirror to a 4 door wardrobe. Their returns from retailers have dropped significantly to below 3%. When visiting one of their retail customers their buyer commented:

” We usually expect returns for this type of product to be 6% but MMI’s is well below that at under 3% and we wondered why. A good Spare Part Service would explain that.”
